Rep. Space supports clean energy funding

We applaud Rep. Space for voting today for the 2009 Omnibus Appropriations Bill, which includes significant funding increases for energy efficiency and renewable programs in the Department of Energy. These funding increases represent a strong next step in forging a cleaner energy future and helping reduce global warming pollution.

Included in the spending, thanks to Rep. Space, is $190,000 in funding for the “Green Collar Jobs Corps,” which will help put people to work by providing job training in growing advanced energy sector.
